Feature
Cookbook author and television personality Nigella Lawson dishes about everything from cooking to communicating – and she shares a favorite recipe!

It’s the mixture that Nigella Lawson relishes, and not just the one in the oven. Although the cookbook author, newspaper columnist, television personality, cook, kitchen tool designer and award-winning writer professes love for and great comfort with the written word, she finds that the stimulation of several activities is what provides enjoyment throughout her world of food. “It’s about communication, the conveying of enthusiasm and I love that,” she recently said, during a break from taping her British television show. “I wouldn’t enjoy it as much without the range of other activities I can dip my toe into. But, I do feel an enormous sense of warmth from the feedback I get from readers of my books and think that it underlies everything I do.”

Health
Catch up on all of the latest women's health news with a comprehensive update featuring information about calcium, stress, and pain.

Recent media reports have noted that researchers believe calcium may help ease premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms. (Leading, of course, to the truly funny new "Got Milk?" commercials where the wary husband comes home with flowers - and several cartons of milk.) But new research indicates a diet rich in calcium and vitamin D may lower a woman's risk of developing PMS in the first place, according to a study reported in the medical journal Archives of Internal Medicine.

Relationships
Mara Rand shares how spending time single improved her relationships.

I was considering marriage to a man who was wealthy, affectionate and attentive. He gave me flowers every Friday, took me to the best restaurants, bought me clothes and jewelry, and yes, he was handsome and loved me. Even my family was impressed. So, why was I hesitant to commit? I couldn't articulate a reason, but I sensed a hollowness to our union. In projecting the future with him, I saw us as a glamorous pair in fabulous restaurants. Exciting, yes, but satisfying? What more did I need?

Style
Monochrome colors, bohemian styles and two- and three- piece suits are just a few of the "must-haves" this season.

Relish the final days of the season with Labor Day upon us. Shake the sand out of your shoes, as jeweled flip flops and tank tops become a memory. Make that transition from summer to autumn in style. An exciting menagerie of looks is on the agenda: monochrome, bohemian and cosmopolitan chic.
